  The Institute annually holds scientific conferences on bioorganic chemistry and petrochemistry, where the main attention is paid to discussing the results of scientific research devoted to the development of methods for the synthesis of new potentially bioactive organic and organoelement compounds and the prediction and study of the biological properties of natural and synthetic substances, the synthesis of new inhibitors of therapeutically important enzymes and the establishment of patterns of their influence in model systems, fundamental and applied research on zeolite and metal complex catalysis, the development of modern catalysts for oil refining and petrochemistry, the production of new functional materials, alternative fuel and lubricants and other practically important products from hydrocarbon raw materials. Based on the results of the conferences, a collection of scientific papers “Bioactive compounds, new substances and materials” is published annually.
